There is always more to learn and more to explore in this world.
I’ve often been pleasantly lost searching for knowledge about all sorts of topics and subjects: psychology, music, economics, politics, history, and philosophy. My favorite is philosophy because there are no right or wrong answers.
Learning for the sake of learning can be fulfilling. Learning something that has nothing to do with your life is a great way to enter a new world and expand yourself as a human being.
It’s good to better understand the world and how it works. Experience the joy and satisfaction of learning something new each day – about anything. It needn’t be anything complicated. Learn a new recipe, a new dance, or a new quote to share with others. Feel a bit more accomplished and happier. It’s good for your self-esteem and your brain.
Another pursuit of happiness is pursuing meaningful goals including goals away from work and home life. Things like writing a book, creating a song, starting a blog. I began my blog in 2015. I had no idea what a blog meant at first. Today I have over 11,000 readers. I publish it once a month and thoroughly enjoy doing it.
We all need a meaningful pursuit we can go to especially when nothing else goes well for us. I call it having a backbone. What is your backbone?
It’s important to have one.
Stop, reflect and appreciate life now and then. It’s difficult to find happiness without reviewing the good in your life.
Sometimes you have to ponder and appreciate things exactly as they are. For me, nothing is better than just staring out the window, appreciating the present moment, being happy and content.
If you aren’t content with your everyday life, chances are you won’t find much comfort or happiness with the rest of your life.
Discover new sources of happiness. They can be a powerful reservoir to draw from when your mental health and well-being need an extra boost.
Be Happy On Purpose.
